The ST Series includes high frequency and mains frequency spark testers meet the international standards required for cable insulation testing. High frequency spark testing allows a greatly increased speed capability compared with mains frequency testing, especially in the case of UL1581, where the 9-cycle requirement makes the electrode length required for mains frequency testing impractical. Compared with mains frequency testing, high frequency testing generates an ionization cloud at a relatively low voltage. This ensures complete coverage of the cable surface.
The gauge head electronics are housed in a rugged IP65 sealed case that is manufactured from stainless steel, ensuring reliability and long operational life.
The ST-IND indicator is a separate unit designed for rack mounting. It includes the ability to remotely set all functions from a device such as a PC or PLC. An optional analogue output is available in the ST-IND.
